Greece (in Greek language - Ellada), birthplace of the European
civilization, is situated in the south-east part of the Balcan
Peninsule.
The country is geografically divided in
9 regions: Thraki,
Macedonia, Epirus, Thessalia, Central Greece, Peloponnese, Aegean islands,
Ionian islands and Crete.
Greece with its 2500 islands (only 160 inhabited), its high mountains, its
numerous rivers and lakes offer so different landscapes you need a lifetime to explore.
Part of the visit must be devoted to greeks: nice and happy people, take
advantage of every occasion to have fun.
