Greece is in the southern part of Europe, 145.000 sq. km of land

member of European Union with
approximately 11.000.000 people. Capital is
Athens with 4.5 million inhabitants.

Greece with its 3.500 years of history, one of the oldest Civilizations
on earth, birth
place
of the European Civilization has to show you-well
preserved pre-historic monuments,
ancient
tables, thousands of Byzantine
churches - scattered all over Greece.
Beside that, is the nature,
a colorful land with the thousands of wild
flowers during the spring time and the hundreds
of
small and large smaragdenia island in the deep blue water of the Mediterranean sea.

Greece is the land of sun and sea. There are 250 - 300 sunny days
yearly depending on the
place in the country. The climate is mild
Mediterranean with the highest temperature raging approximately:
April - May: 20 - 25°C - scatter raining
June - middle of July: 25 - 35°C - dry
Middle of July - middle of August: 32 - 39 °C
- dry
middle of August - September: 26 - 34 °C -
normally dry
October - March: 5 - 18 °C with some raining in
October, November and some snow in
December to
March mainly on the mountains where you can find a lot of skiing centers.

- Athens Festival ( ancient Herodion, Lycabettus theater, etc) May to
September
- Epidavrus Festival (Ancient theater of Epidavrus) July- August
- Many Local folklore festivals, wine festivals and musical events, all
over Greece, all the

daily, are mainly made by Flying
Dolphins-fast boats - and some ferry boats. |
 | Routs 9, 10, 11, 13, 14 are served by local ferries with varying
number of departure (2-5)
daily during summer time. |
 | Rout 12 with many departures daily is serving the
nearby to Athens Argosaronic islands |
 | Piraeus is the main harbor of Athens and Rafina a second port at
the north of Athens.
Both ports are 1 to 1.5 hrs by car from the center of Athens. |
